Hey there! Welcome to my Substack newsletter: Health Admin Hacks!

And a special welcome to those who are coming over from my LinkedIn Newsletter, previously entitled “An Advocate’s Analysis”. I appreciate you for making the switch.

Regardless of where you’re from - thank you for joining me on this platform.

For those of you on the content creation and social media marketing side of Tiktok, you may know that starting a Substack is all the rage right now. It has been predicted by many creators as the next platform that will see an influx of users - a resurgence, if you will.

One of most well-known social media marketing strategists, Coco Mocoe, was one of the first creators on Tiktok to popularize this stance.

But, don’t you go thinking that I started this newsletter as a way of “jumping on the proverbial bandwagon”. No ma’am, I am not a bandwagon jumper!

The first few videos on Tiktok that I saw regarding this up-and-coming trend simply intrigued me. I went on to do my own research on the platform - what it looked like, how it worked, etc. With the introduction and integration of videos on this platform, it felt like Substack was more so turning into a content hub rather than being “just another platform”. There’s articles (writing), podcasts (through RSS feeds), voiceovers and audio embeds, long-form videos, and short-form content through Substack Notes.

Not to mention: this platform has had slow, steady growth over the years. So, this made me realize that Substack could really be THAT girl!

And so the coverage and versatility in content that I could get from this one platform is what ultimately convinced me.

Who is Eryn Dané Burnett?

Hey, that’s me!

I’m a 20-something that was born and raised in Southern California with two of the same degrees - a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration. Given the ambiguity of the industry, I didn’t always know what I wanted to do but I took it one step at a time.

Now, I aim to use my platforms in order to educate others about Healthcare Administration. Most people don’t really know what it means (trust me, I know this from experience). Even when I first learned about this college major, I wasn’t entirely sure of what I was stepping into.

My Mission

To empower Healthcare Administration students and young professionals with the tools, thoughts, and reflections I used to navigate my career.

Who is this newsletter for?

This newsletter is definitely for Healthcare Administration students and early professionals. It can also be read by those who want to better understand the inner workings of the business side of healthcare.

If you’ve ever received a bill from a hospital stay or needed to complete a form so that your insurance could cover a prescription medication, those activities sit on the “administration” side of healthcare. Or maybe you’ve had to enroll into a health insurance plan or completed a survey on your patient experience, those activities also sit on the “administration” side of healthcare.

Whether you’re looking to apply these tips or just become more knowledgeable about the American healthcare industry, join us by subscribing to Health Admin Hacks 🛠️✨:

What will you be sharing here?

In this newsletter, I will be sharing the tips and tricks I’ve picked up throughout my academic and professional career that have helped me make informed career decisions, acquire professionally beneficial experiences, and create a well-grounded understanding of the industry as a whole.

So, to be clear, the “hacks” that I will be sharing here are not going to be shortcuts or quick fixes. These “hacks” will be bite-sized pieces of content with practical, actionable tips that you can apply immediately.

Plus, these articles are forever! Unlike YouTube videos where you would have to go back and watch it again, you can easily scroll down to the bottom of an article for a quick reminder.

If you’ve chosen to subscribe, thank you for your support 🫶🏾
